Erotica Romance Novel: Hard and Fast, Series: Fast Track, Author: Erin McCarthy

“Your nipple is perfect. Like a little raspberry, tart and rosy.”
She could honestly say no man had ever said that to her before. Kind of liking the idea of being tart and rosy, Imogen said, “Thank you. I have two.”
Ty gave a soft laugh. “I know. Is the other one jealous?”

Ty is the male lead in Erin McCarthy’s book, Hard and Fast. I love all 3 of the Fast Track series books out so far but I think Hard and Fast is my favorite. There are special things about the relationship of Imogen and race car driver, Ty that I don’t want to spoil for anyone who hasn’t read the book yet.

Who else but Erin McCarthy can combine beautiful Shakespeare passages that weren’t familiar to me, lovable characters, funny compelling plots, with scenes that range from lust-tingling to nipple-hardening to where-the-hell-did-I-put-my-vibrator?

“I’m not sure I should get closer. Are you going to punish me?”
The way she said that - her eager, throaty voice immediately shifting the exchange from playful to sensual - had Ty grinding his teeth to keep from groaning out loud. “Do you need to be punished? Have you been bad? Did you knock me into the water on purpose?”

That’s from the camping trip. It’s sizzling sexy, laugh out loud funny and emotionally touching as the hero and heroine get to know each other. When you think about it afterwards you can only admire clever Ms. McCarthy.

“Her dress was bunched around her waist and his mouth was already on her, nipping and licking and sucking. Her hands did wind up on his head, gripping his hair tightly as the passion, the pure physical delight, intermingled with the emotion of realizing that she loved him. Ty flicked his tongue over her, in her and she came quickly, overwhelmed by everything she was feeling.”

I need a cold shower. I’m overwhelmed just typing.

How far do you like sex scenes to go? Ride off in the sunset kissing? Gratuitous mentions of hard nipples and damp panties? Something in between?

“He grinned and gave her a kiss that made her hair and her toes curl and everything in between go hot and damp.”

Oh yes, Erin McCarthy’s book Hard and Fast is full of ‘tingle with lust’ type passages.

(And BTW if you want to really 'tingle with lust,' just take a look at the book covers.)

If you like that kind of thing, which I do, I highly recommend the whole Fast Track Series:
1 Flat Out Sexy; 2 Hard and Fast; 3 Hot Finish; 4 The Chase (out 4/5/11) and 5 Slow Ride (no release date yet).

There may be more because her website lists this as an ongoing series. Me and my vibrator certainly hope so. Let's hope so.

  1. LOL That's some steamy stuff. I'm an in-betweener (heh). I don't mind steamy, but I don't like a sex scene to be in the story just because the author realized it's been a while since she wrote a sex scene. Other than that, it takes a lot to make me blush. :)

  2. I came your way via Julie :) Stopped by on my lunch hour (well, 15 minutes, but that's another story). How funny are you? And damned entertaining. I'm going to add this to my checklist!

  3. Love the title of this post.
I'm with Delia, I'm an in-betweener, and I don't like sex scenes that go forever, I just get bored.

  4. Delia - Yeah I don't blush very easily either.

Stormy - Actually I'm a liar cause now I'm blushing. You think I'm funny. Awww. Welcome. If you have a blog I'll check you out. I'm liking this dashboard thing where I can just access blogs without going everywhere.

Kris - I can get bored, too. I want to do a post sometime later about funniest sex scenes.
