Lately I'm on a pilgrimage kick. Watched Wild then read the book by Cheryl Strayed.

Tonight I watched Letters to Juliet again. Love the movie and it's even better cause Vanessa Redgrave is in it.

Going to get Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce.

Going to look for The Way - a movie made in 2010 by Emilio Estevez and Martin Sheen.

What else should I read? Watch? Anyone out there have favorite pilgrimage books or movies?

Meanwhile, JD Robb has a new In Death book out so I'm going to take a little trip into Eve Dallas and Roarke land. And Jana Deleon has a new book out about Fortune Redding and her swamp team so I'll be heading out to Sinful Louisiana.

Packing my train case full of makeup and breaking in my new no-line bifocals. I'll try to apprise y'all of the sights along the way!

Don't wait up.

An act of rebellion

"In a society that profits from your self-doubt liking yourself is a rebellious act."

I have always been a rebel.

(This came from HLN on facebook.)

Happy Labor Day

Labor unions are one of the reasons I had a comfortable childhood. My dad worked for Chrysler Corp. He had good wages, good insurance and good vacation time due to the efforts of the United Auto Workers union.

Of course, dad had a lot to do with it, too. He worked hard to provide for us.

Thank you, dad.

And thank you labor unions.

I'm working 12 hours myself today. Not because I have to. Because I like my job and I volunteered to. (Of course, I didn't volunteer to work for free - double time and a half - oh yeah!)

Hope everyone else is doing something they like to do today!
