Shayla McBride - pet shelter mysteries

This is my amazon review for the first in Shayla McBride's pet shelter mysteries:

HARTE'S DESIRE

"Francine Marshall’s aggressive sister BethAnn drags her to The Ark pet shelter knowing Fran has good reason to fear some of the pets. Fran is interested in two things: her marshmallow candy business and her daughter. She has been beaten down by her ex-husband and is definitely not interested in love.

Django Harte has experienced more than his share of heartache and tragedy. He is only interested in one thing: saving the Ark.

In Harte’s Desire McBride created main characters I loved, secondary characters I sometimes liked and other times was irritated by (as she intended), a villain I despised right along with her mean, drooling dog. The plot kept me turning pages.

She added a minor plot line with a dog I joined Fran in sympathizing with and learning to love.

She pulled everything together in a satisfying HEA for Fran and Django that left me satisfied and wanting more.

I will definitely be diving in to Harte’s Danger next.

~~~ Harte's Deception - book three has just been released.
  1. Read number 2 Harte's Danger. It was also good. Number 3 Harte's Deception is a recent release. Haven't gotten to that one yet.
